Brandon Canfield CANN has quite literally changed the course of my professional career. After stumbling into a CANN session at the 2016 ACS meeting in San Diego, inspiration was drawn to develop the first undergraduate degree program in the nation with an emphasis on cannabis testing and processing. Medicinal Plant Chemistry at Northern Michigan University has since served as a model for similar traditional 4-year degree programs emerging at universities across the country.
Nick Mulder earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware in 2010. He has since worked in an array of industries with responsibilities typically revolving around instrumental analysis, quality control, and regulatory compliance. His current position has him overseeing quality and compliance at the labs responsible for maintaining New York City’s drinking water supply. Nick’s participation in CANN began in 2019 when he was offered the opportunity to help design and publish a quarterly newsletter. In 2020 he was elected as Co-Chair of the CANN Membership Committee alongside Brandon Canfield, PhD.
